Canal View Co-operative Housing Society Limited Lahore, also called Canal View Society was registered in 1975. It is first co-operative society established in Punjab after the creation of Pakistan. The society is facing Lahore’s famous canal adjoining Punjab University new campus. The society has main access from the Canal road as well from the Multan road. The Orange Line has one halt near gate no. 3 of the society named Canal View Station.
The society is well planned with modern infrastructure, paved with tough tiles. The flowery interior of the society reminds of a small town of south Europe. The Canal View is not a crowded living area as it has only 1193 residential units with modern and vintage architecture. All the convenience like banks, fast food outlets, schools, masajids, gymnasium and pristine main commercial area.
The society was established with the SEED CAPITAL of the United Bank Limited – UBL. Therefore, all its founding members and the first Managing Committee of the society were from the UBL.
